Images
Resize an image, change its format or read text from a screenshot.
Convert images
Choose an available output format and create a new image beside the original. Formats can include PNG, JPEG, HEIC, TIFF and BMP, depending on the source and macOS encoders.

Resize images
Choose a smaller size suggested from the original dimensions. Use Custom to enter a longest edge, percentage, or an explicit width and height.
A 3000px image → 1920px longest edgeLongest-edge and percentage resizing preserve the ratio. Explicit width × height for a single image can change it. Enlargement is a deliberate Custom choice, not an automatic upscale.
Compress images
Choose JPEG quality or a target size in KB for each image. Check the estimated output size before creating the compressed copy.
85%, 70% or 45% JPEG qualityOriginal dimensions stay the same. Transparency is flattened to white. An impossible target or output that is not smaller shows an error.
Extract text from an image
Read text from an image with local OCR, then copy it from the result card. The image stays on your Mac for this action.

Image limits
Local image processing supports static images up to 40 megapixels. A format or file size may still be unsupported. Choose Summarize for an AI description of a supported image; this sends prepared image content for processing.
